Getting Started

It's Easy! Follow these four simple steps:
Step 1 -- Purchase any Olympus Digital Camera.

Step 2 -- Determine your trade-in value using the trade-in estimator.

Step 3 -- Log in and print a prepaid shipping label, and send your old camera(s) to our trade-in warehouse along with proof of purchase of your new Olympus camera.

Step 4 --  You will receive your rebate check in 7 to 14 days.

*Our partner, Dealtree offers security, convenience, and a fair market value for your camera trade-in; however, you may be able to get more for your trade-in through alternate channels.
**You must be a resident of the United States to be eligible for the Olympus Trade- in, Trade Up program.

Shipping Methods
A prepaid UPS shipping label can be printed from your Submission Acceptance email. Please note that UPS standard ground shipping costs are included when you accept an estimate and generate a prepaid shipping label. Simply, call UPS or drop off the package at a UPS shipping location. Be sure to keep the tracking number for proof of return.

Packaging Guidelines

  • Try to include any documentation and accessories that originally shipped with your old camera including, the original box, software, cables, batteries & chargers, warranties, etc& Failure to include normally included items or accessories will impact the value of your trade.
  • Please be sure to include proof of purchase (dated after 10/01/06) for your new Olympus camera in order to validate your rebate. A copy of a dated receipt is preferred.
  • The old, working camera you are sending should be wrapped/boxed gingerly in order to protect the camera from damage during transit as the camera's condition will be reviewed and confirmed upon receipt.
  • Finally, be sure to attach the prepaid shipping label to the outside of the package using clear tape.

Payments And Pricing

Determining Camera Condition For Trade In
Our Trade-in Center will perform an inspection upon receipt of your camera on the following three condition levels:

  • Excellent -- The camera works perfectly, and looks like it did when it came form the factory. It is in perfect condition and looks brand new with no signs of wear at all.
  • Very Good Condition -- The camera works perfectly, looks almost new with only very minor signs of use. There are no scratches or scuffs on the body or lens.
  • Good -- The camera works perfectly, and has minor signs of use. There may be some minor scratches or scuffs on the body or lens, but nothing that affect performance. No dents on the body or lens.
  • WORKING BUT WITH SCRATCHES OR DENTS -- The camera works perfectly, but has some scratches or scuffs on the body or lens, but nothing that affect performance. The body or lens may have some dents or scratches, but the camera is working.
  • NOT WORKING -- Some part of the camera functions do not work, or there are functional pices missing, required for the camera to work.
NOTE: NON-WORKING CAMERAS WILL RECEIVE NO TRADE IN VALUE

Receiving Payment
All trade-in rebates will be sent to you, via check, to the address you provide in your user profile. Checks are mailed 7 to 14 days after receiving your old camera.

Please note that the estimated value of your old camera is not final until the item has been verified.
